Description
The 9DIN-S signal conditioner provides everything needed
to operate all varieties of strain gage transducers and to deliver optimal
signal output. The 9DIN-S Includes:
Isolation: The 9DIN-S is three way isolated.
Galvanic isolation is present between the power supply, input, and output.
Transducer Flexibility: The 9DIN-S provides switch-selectable
strain gage style. The 9DIN-S supports full, half, and quarter bridge strain
gages with resistances from 120 ohms to 20,000 ohms.
These choices allow the 9DIN-S to operate Load Cells, Torque Transducers,
and Pressure Transducers in addition to quarter and half bridge strain
gages. Transducers may be connected with a 3, 4, or 6 wire hookup.
Transducer Excitation: The 9DIN-S has an adjustable excitation that
provides a highly stable, low noise Voltage. Current limiting is provided.
Transducer Amplification: For maximum resolution of measurement data,
the 9DIN-S amplifies strain gage signals with a multi-stage differential
amplifier. Thirteen input ranges from 0.1 to 1000 mV/V are available.
Transducer Filtering: The 9DIN-S filters and conditions strain gage
signals with active low-pass filtering to eliminate unwanted signal noise.
Filter cutoff is switch selectable at 30 Hz or 5000 Hz. Filters style is 4
pole Butterworth filters.
Output: The 9DIN-S has two outputs for optimal convenience. Outputs
are provided for +/-10 Volt, and 4-20 mA operation.
Calibration: The 9DIN-S can be calibrated by using either an internal
5mV precision reference or a shunt resistor across one arm of the strain
gage bridge.
Alarms: An over Voltage alarm alerts the user to any signals
exceeding the recommended output rating. An alarm LED lights whenever the
signal is outside the +/- 10 Volt limits of operation.
Mounting: The 9DIN-S mounts to a standard DIN-EN mounting rail.
