Description
The Techkor wireless condition monitoring system automates collecting condition
based maintenance (CBM) data in industrial environments. The system includes
precision piezoelectric sensors, laser tachometers, database storage, and
control/display software. All wireless units communicate with Network
Access Points, bridging the wireless network to a cabled Ethernet
network, eliminating expensive wiring costs. Wireless transmissions are
encrypted and error corrected to ensure secure and reliable data. Thousands
of sensors can be easily installed, configured, and monitored from a
networked PC.
Wireless Condition Monitoring sensors complement data collector and
online methods by expanding coverage into areas where traditional methods would be cost
prohibitive or hazardous. Collect data efficiently and reliably with wireless sensors,
so time is spent fixing problems, instead of finding problems.
Operational Layout
A typical layout of the wireless system consists of a Windows PC, NAP914P
Network Access Points, REP914 Active Repeaters, M9E-RF-1-50G
Accelerometers, and TACH-RF-L Laser Tachometers. The wireless
network is an automatically configurable network. Simply install the
Network Access Points on an existing enterprise LAN with overlapping
coverage, and then install the wireless sensors on the machinery to be
monitored. Machinery vibration data can then be monitored from a PC
anywhere on the enterprise LAN or transmitted to a PC anywhere in the world
via an Internet gateway. The system is easily scalable by simple adding
additional Accelerometers, Repeaters, and Network Access
Points as needed.
